As summer kicks off, Americans are looking forward to spending more time enjoying the outdoors. Through the efforts of U.S. mining, more than 2.6 million acres of land across the country have been reclaimed and restored to create parks, fishing holes, wildlife habitats and more to serve the community.
At the National Mining Association, we understand the importance of being a good neighbor and prioritizing the safety, health and economy of the local communities in which the industry operates. U.S. minerals mining invests heavily in the research and development of new technologies and processes to minimize environmental impact and increase innovation. The industry is dedicated to rebuilding and restoring all the land on which we operate, and no project is complete until that land is safe, accessible and ready for public use.
Our future is linked directly to yours, and we intend to continue to be a contributing member of our shared community. To learn more about the mining industry’s commitment to being a good neighbor, see our video below.
