Copper mining added $12 billion to Arizona economy in 2010
A recent study prepared for the Arizona Mining Association revealed that copper mining provided 73,100 jobs for state residents in 2010 and contributed approximately $12.1 billion to the Arizona economy—a 31 percent increase over 2009.
