Arizona mine to reopen, creating more than 600 jobs

BHP Billiton Ltd.  announced plans to reopen its Pinto Valley operation in Gila County, which will produce copper and molybdenum. The mine closed in 2009 because it was not economical. Base Metals North America Asset President Wayne Isaacs stated, “We will be hiring more than 600 new team members and look forward to working with local communities to safely restart the mine.”
