Sen. Casey calls for increased U.S. mineral production

In an op-ed in The Hill, Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa., argued that China’s withholding of rare earth minerals is hurting American manufacturers—and subsequently American jobs. The senator highlighted the importance of “spurring domestic production” of minerals to “decrease our reliance on China, enhance our national security, and potentially increase American exports.”
